Sri Lanka ’14

Colts to Sri Lanka ’14

Colts to Sri Lanka will be the 20th project in the history of Global Perspectives. 30 grade 12 students from Richmond Secondary School will be building a Vocational School in the small village of Andigama in Anamaduwa located in the district of Puttlam. The project will be split into two parts. First, the present school in the village consists of traditional schooling. The local community wanted to see a different option for the young people in the community. The idea to build a vocational school was on their wish list. With that being the major focus of our efforts, a secondary project will also be built. Currently the local villagers must travel 3KM to collect fresh clean drinking water. A new well will be constructed to provide access to a basic need.
